The Bit Scholarship in China is a two-year program for international students to study at the Beijing Institute of Technology. The scholarship covers all tuition fees, living expenses and medical insurance.
The Bit Scholarship in China is an opportunity for international students from any country to pursue their undergraduate degree at BIT in Beijing, China. This scholarship is open to any student who has graduated from high school or obtained a GED certificate and currently does not have a bachelor’s degree.

Requirements:
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must first apply through the U.S. Department of State’s F-1 visa process, which requires them to complete an online form, submit official transcripts and supporting documents as well as pay the nonrefundable application fee of $160 USD. Applicants are then required to complete the BIT Scholarship application process by submitting an essay on why they would like to study at BIT and provide proof of financial need (i.e., bank statements).
- Applicants must come from countries outside of China. (non-Chinese citizens)
- You should be healthy (both mentally and physically)
- Candidates must be willing to must follow the Chinese laws and the regulations, and the rules as well as those of Beijing Institute of Technology;
- You must have an outstanding academical records
- Applicants must hold Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
- Those applying for master’s degree m the age of 35 when applying for a master’s program;
- It is important to possess a minimum of one year of relevant job or internship experience for the MBA program.
- You must have an HSK level 5 for Chinese-taught programs; 85 TOEFL or 6.0 IELTS for English-taught programs Or BIT-recognized language certificates
Scholarship Benefits:
- The scholarship covers tuition fees of successful applicants
- Scholarship recipients will enjoy free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy;
- You will also receive some monthly stipends:
- Master’s students will have CNY 3,000 monthly
- Doctoral students will enjoy an amount of CNY 3,500 per month
