Brighton manager, Roberto De Zerbi, has expressed his discontent with a majority of the referees in the Premier League, stating that he does not like 80% of them.
De Zerbi’s comments followed Brighton’s 1-1 draw with Sheffield United on Sunday, a game where Brighton’s Mahmoud Dahoud received a straight red card for a tackle on Sheffield’s Ben Osborn.

Despite acknowledging Dahoud’s deserving punishment, De Zerbi, who was visibly animated throughout the match and received a yellow card, openly shared his dissatisfaction with a significant portion of English referees.
These remarks come in the wake of increased scrutiny on refereeing decisions, with other managers, such as Arsenal‘s, also expressing discontent in recent weeks.
