The Central Government of Ghana has neglected its new Senior High School construction building located at Kpone-Katamanso for the past last seven years.

The project was a policy which was initiated by the National Democratic Congress Party’s government under the leadership of Former John Dramani Mahama.

Former President John Dramani Mahama had promised to build a total of 200 new Senior High Schools from scratch. This policy was to aid his government motion from the Progressively Free Senior High School Policy into the fully Free Education for all Senior High Schools in Ghana.

Mr John Mahama’s government was able to complete seventy-three of the Senior High School out of the 200 schools he had promised to construct.

However, after Mr John Mahama lost the general elections and had handed over the administration to the New Patriotic Party’s government, which is being led by His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, the project has since been stunted.

For the past seven years, government has turned a blind eye to the project which had secured a budget for it to be built with the tax payers monies.

The project is gradually deteriorating and has seen individuals encroaching the school land and it has become a habitat for hosting reptiles.
