Information gathered by Xorlali.com indicates the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars will play against the Namibia national team in preparation for the upcoming AfCON tournament scheduled to held in Ivory Coast in a few weeks to come.

The information was made known to the public after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced that there will be a new Pre-AfCON friendly match in place of the issue scheduled match between Ghana and Botswana.

Initially, there had been indications that the Ghanaian team will be playing against Botswana on 8th January before moving to Ivory Coast for the actual AfCON tournament.

However, the new development and change in plan indicates Ghana will stay home and play against Namibia in a friendly match meant to serve as a warm-up for the upcoming AfCON tournament.

The Pre-AfCON friendly between Ghana and Namibia will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Saturday, 7January, 2024.

The GFA’s decision to allow Ghana play against Namibia is in line with the fact that the Namibia national team will be camping in Ghana for the 2023 AfCON tournament.

As we speak, The Brave Warriors of Namibia are already in Ghana and are anticipating on playing three matches in Ghana before moving to Ivory Coast.

The Brave Warriors are expected to play against two football clubs in Ghana and in addition engage in a friendly encounter with Ghana who are looking forward to winning the 2023 AfCON trophy to make it their first trophy in the history of African football.
