Nollywood star, Junior Pope Odonwodo, commonly known as Jnr Pope, has tragically passed away. The actor met his untimely demise this afternoon in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.
Reports suggest that the actor was involved in a boating accident. The boat he was on capsized, leading to him and two other actors, who are yet to be identified, drowning.
Following the incident, Junior Pope’s body was recovered and promptly taken to a nearby hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Emma Onyemeziem, the Delta State Chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has confirmed to Vanguard that the deceased actor’s body has been moved to the morgue.
