The Wa Airport is the second residential air terminal inherent in the Northern piece of Ghana with Tamale Airport being the first. Wa Airport formally started business tasks in October 2019 with Africa World Airlines being the primary aircraft to authoritatively fly travelers to the air terminal from the national capital, Accra with fifty travelers ready.
While the official initiation of tasks was in October 2019, the land for the air terminal was gained by the Government of Ghana as far back as 1958 with the plan of giving the individuals an air terminal as ahead of schedule as would be prudent, in any case, that fantasy didn’t appear at the time.

It must be that as it may be noticed that before the air terminal initiated business tasks in 2019, the air terminal was especially being used yet not for business exercises yet rather it filled in as an aeronautics airship traffic control point.
The office has a place with the Government of Ghana and is overseen for their sake by the Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL), the state organization answerable for overseeing air terminals.
Presently, Africa World Airline (AWA) is the main household carrier that flies to Wa.
