Austin Majors was born in California, United States on November 23, 1995. Kali Majors is his younger sister. He then attended USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in directing and music production.

Majors made his acting debut in the 1997 film Nevada. He later made cameo appearances in the film The Price of Air and the television series Providence. Majors rose to prominence as Theo Sipowicz, the son of Detective Andy Sipowicz (played by Dennis Franz) in the 1999–2004 television series NYPD Blue. For the show, he received the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Drama Series.

He also provided the voice of a young version of Joseph Gordon-Jim Levitt’s Hawkins in Disney’s animated film “Treasure Planet” in 2002.
