Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has expressed optimism in the ability of the NDC to take over from the NPP after the 2024 presidential election.
In a recent interaction with fishmongers in Axim, the former President of Ghana said he knows that by the Grace of God the NDC will win the 2024 election.
Adding to this, Mr. Mahama made a promise to improve the fisheries sector by giving Ghanaians a sector Minister who will perform better than the current one once he is voted into power.
Speaking at the recent interaction with fishmongers in Axim, John Mahama lambasted the current government and blamed it for collapsing the work of artisanal fishers.
He further disclosed that when the NDC was in power, they set up a land beaching committee, and at that time, anyone could be a member of the member of the committee, adding that the distribution of premix was done judiciously.
Divergent to what initially witnessed, Mr. Mahama stated that fuel diversion and mismanagement of the distribution of premix fuel appears to have reached its apex point because the NPP is politicizing its distribution.
In line with this disclosure, John Mahama affirmed his dedication to improving the fisheries sector and promised to ensure substantial changes are made once he is elected as President of Ghana in 2024.
