The current National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Joseph Yamin has stated that, if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) makes any attempt to rig the 2024 presidential election, they should be rest assured that the NDC will respond in equal measure.
In an exclusive interview on Kumasi-based Abusua FM, the NDC bigwig made it clear that the reformed NDC will go into the next election with the same strategy they used in 2020.
According to him, the NPP should be ready for an election rigging strategy from the NDC if they have it in mind that they are going to try to use some illegal means to win the 2024 presidential election.
He stated that the NDC has learnt from mistakes made in the previous election and as such they will do whatever it takes to ensure the NPP doesn’t rig the election.
However, if the ruling party tries anything funny or find ways and means of rigging the election, they would also be compelled to also rig the election as well.
He reiterated that, each and every Ghanaian citizen has one vote and in line with this fact, he issued a fair warning to the NPP stating that nobody should think he can used any illegitimate ways and means to rig the election.
He stated emphatically that if the NPP tries to steal in the next election, the NDC will have no option than to steal as well.
