The organizers of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), Prime Time Limited, have unveiled a roster of 27 esteemed senior high schools in Ghana. These schools have been strategically seeded for the upcoming 2023 national championship, thanks to their outstanding performances in previous competitions.
These seeded schools will have the privilege of bypassing the preliminary rounds and directly entering the one-eighth stage of the 2023 NSMQ national championship. Notably, the list includes last year’s finalists, namely Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School, Adisadel College, and Prempeh College.
The Ashanti Region leads the pack with an impressive eight schools making the cut, followed closely by the Central Region with six schools, and the Eastern Region with four schools. However, it’s worth mentioning that a few prestigious institutions, such as Wesley Girls’ High School, St. Peter’s Senior High School, and Achimota School, did not secure spots on the coveted list.
