The Member of Parliament for Tema West constituency, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah has stated that giving John Mahama the opportunity to rule Ghana in 2025 will be detrimental to the progress of the country.
He reiterated that even if citizens have forgotten about Mahama’s poor leadership skills, they should cast their minds back to his first term, where he performed poorly after being given the chance to rule.
According to Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah, Mahama’s performance during his first term of governorship is clear evidence he has new or beneficial to offer Ghanaians.
He further disclosed that, based on the fact that Mahama is aware he has only one term to serve the country if he is voted as President, he will not considerate with any decision he makes because he knows he won’t be up for any election again.
Per his assertion and the analysis made by the NPP, Mahama is one presidential candidate who has nothing to lose and such as a person cannot be made President.
Divergent to the case of Mahama, Hon. Ahenkorah stated that unlike the NDC flagbearer who has nothing to lose, Dr. Bawumia is aware of the fact that he has another election ahead of him if he wins next year’s election and as such he will make rational decisions that will push the country towards progress.
Touching on recent claims the country’s economy has been mismanaged by the NPP, Hon. Ahenkorah stated that the country’s economy was in good shape until the emergence of certain unanticipated crisis.
Per his sentiments, the country’s economy would have been in its best state if not for the crisis that hit the country few years ago.
