Ghislaine Maxwell sentenced to 20 years for helping Epstein.

British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell is spending her 20-year sentence in the Danbury Federal Correctional Institute in Connecticut, the jail that was the inspiration for the fictional prison in the Netflix show Orange Is The New Black.

Six months after Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty by a federal jury on five offences, including sex trafficking, district judge Alison J. Nathan of the US delivered the verdict on Tuesday in Manhattan.

She advised Ghislaine Maxwell to serve her two-decade term in the Connecticut prison because it is thought to be far nicer than her former New York cell.

Maxwell, was found guilty of aiding serial juvenile sex abuser and billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein, who had complained about mistreatment and torture in a previous jail.
