George was a legend. For over a decade, he brought the “Spokomojo,” his distinct blend of warmth and humor, to The Morning Show on KHQ-TV in Spokane.

His larger-than-life personality carried on beyond the lens. He kept the show lively and hip with his witty banter and wisecracks with Dave Cotton, Shelly Monahan, Sean Owsley, and Matt Rogers. George drew a devoted following of fans, or ‘peeps,’ as he referred to them, who tuned in more for entertainment than for his predictions.

When weatherman Tim Adams was deployed overseas, George was plucked from the obscurity of the producer’s desk to fill in at the green screen. He was such a hit that he stayed until his retirement in 2012. Aside from the 3 p.m. wake-up call, George loved his job and the people who invited him into their homes every morning.
