The speeding driver lost control and crashed into the highway’s beam near Allen St. Two people were in the other vehicle, but they escaped the incident unharmed. The crash occurred at 2.30 a.m., according to Dallas Police, and two people were killed, including Gladney.

‘We are asking for prayers for the family and privacy during this difficult time,’ said his agent, Brian Overstreet. After being acquitted of felony assault, the former Texas Christian University (TCU) draft prospect had just signed with the Cardinals in the 2022 offseason. Gladney’s ex-girlfriend claimed in 2021 that the NFL player domestically assaulted her after he demanded to see her text messages in his car.

Gladney started 15 games for the Vikings in his rookie season in 2020. He hadn’t been seen in the NFL since his arrest in Dallas in April 2021. On March 10, he signed a two-year contract with the Cardinals after being found not guilty in a Dallas court.
