Trina Newman Cause of Death: How Did Trina Newman Die?
Trina Newman was struck by a car as she stepped off the pavement to get into her car on Saturday around 3:30 p.m. while delivering gifts to neighborhood kids at a community center on Broadway near 88th Street, according to witnesses. Newman was pronounced dead on the spot.
As family members tried to console one another, police set up a crime scene perimeter on Broadway. “I was attempting to approach her by pushing past the yellow tape. “I simply couldn’t believe what I heard over the phone,” Amarrie Nicasio, the victim’s daughter, told KTLA.
Nicasio’s mother was a minister who fostered several other children, according to Nicasio. According to Pastor Kenneth Pitchford, a close friend of Newman’s, everyone is heartbroken right now. Words cannot express how important she is to this community.
The police withheld the vehicle’s description. The driver’s family is hoping that surveillance cameras in the area will help them prosecute him. She helped everyone and gave back to the community in any way she could. Whoever did this ought to come out and give themselves in because she’s a decent person, Nicasio said.
