Destiny Etiko, a Nollywood actress, has responded to the massive ransom demand made by the unidentified gunmen who kidnapped her colleagues Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel, alias Agbogidi.

According to previous reports, the kidnappers demanded $100,000 in exchange for the hostages’ release.

Destiny Etiko responded by posting on her Instagram account about her sadness and anguish over the topic.

“N100 million for what? In this hardship? Do you people think we have that kind of money?” She asked rhetorically.

According to reports, this upsetting development has confused the acting community and made it difficult for them to raise the funds required for their release.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria’s president, Emeka Rollas, confirmed that contact had been made with the families and stated that the guild is coordinating with the appropriate security organizations to ensure a safe return.
