Destiny Etiko, a Nollywood actress, has responded to the massive ransom demand made by the unidentified gunmen who kidnapped her colleagues Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel, alias Agbogidi.
According to previous reports, the kidnappers demanded $100,000 in exchange for the hostages’ release.
The kidnappers apparently contacted the victims’ families after they had been reported missing for approximately 24 hours.
The pair is said to have left on a shooting assignment before going missing.
Both actors starred in films that were shot in the states of Delta and Enugu.
Destiny Etiko responded by posting on her Instagram account about her sadness and anguish over the topic.
According to reports, this upsetting development has confused the acting community and made it difficult for them to raise the funds required for their release.
The Actors Guild of Nigeria’s president, Emeka Rollas, confirmed that contact had been made with the families and stated that the guild is coordinating with the appropriate security organizations to ensure a safe return.
