David Warburton’s whip was revoked and he was suspended from the Conservative Party on April 2, 2022.
This implies he can still vote, but not as a member of the Conservative Party.
After allegations of sexual misbehavior and drug usage were made against him, he was suspended.
After smoking cocaine, he allegedly stripped naked in her flat before jumping into her bed and touching her breasts.
The Sunday Times released a photograph of Warburton sitting next to an upturned baking dish with lines of cocaine on it.
She claimed that she had advised the married MP that she did not want to sleep with him, but that despite this, he touched her and mashed his body against her.
They met at work, and Warburton had invited himself back to her house despite the fact that she had had too much alcohol.
She put on her pyjamas in the hopes of scaring Warburton away, and she said she remained “locked to the place” until he fell asleep.
The next day, he texted her, asking whether she was proud of what had transpired and pledging not to strip naked again.
The woman has decided not to pursue legal action and wishes to forget about the incident.
Two female aides have also come forward to express their dissatisfaction with unwanted sexual comments and touches.
Through the Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme, they have taken action against him.
According to the women, they were unable to access his parliamentary office since his wife, Harriet, is in charge of human resources.
Warburton has said in response: “I have enormous amounts of defence, but unfortunately the way that things work means that doesn’t come out first.
“I have heard nothing whatsoever from the Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme. I’m sorry, I can’t comment any further.”
